In last two weeks all my Facebook news feed were flooded with miss you messages. If you want to predict what the messages were – I would not bet against you wrong guessing. "I will miss XL messages "had finally transformed into "I will miss XL: My juniors from XL had finally passed out from college with some cushy jobs and magnanimous dreams about how they will storm the world their raw awesomeness. But experienced soul like me can easily predict how soon they will start getting disillusioned and hate them for the work they will do throughout the rest of lives to earn their livelihood. They will soon transform into managers.
But let me not divert here
That is not what I wanted to blog !!
I wanted to blog how people always miss things
While I passed out from school – all my friends decided " we will not lose touch " and shouted vociferously " Those were the best days of my life "
While I passed out from my engineering college – all my friends decided "we will not lose touch "and shouted vociferously "Those were the best days of my life "
While I passed out from my MBA college – all my friends decided "we will not lose touch "and shouted vociferously "Those were the best days of my life "
WTF , Even when I left Oracle – my team mates including my boss wanted to make me vociferously shout "Those were the best days of my life " !!!
We miss things, ya we miss things . And sometimes I feel we miss things because we feel good imagining we miss things. It like people live happily, eat happily , sleep happily and if opportunity avails have sex happily and then suddenly out of blue they will shout " I miss XYZ"
And there are moments when people start missing absolutely fucking unexplainable things like
" I miss Sachin batting like when he used to in twenties " !! knowing even that he is in thirty and neither Sachin or he has a timemachine
" I miss Ganguly " even though he or she would cry aloud demanding the God to have him dismissed each time he came batting
"I miss Maradona even though he or she would never have seen a maradona"
" I miss Madhuri Dixit "
If it all people realized that people do not miss things actually but love having the feeling that they are missing something to provide some twinge to their heart
